CIDR Calculator
In this CIDR calculator simply enter the IP address, choose the maximum number of addresses, Subnets and CIDR Netmask and in return you will get Wildcard Mask, range of usable IPs, Broadcast address and CIDR Network.
The IP address in converted to Binary form where the subnet part is separated. In the binary form, the remaining bits after the subnet are used to identify hosts within the subnet. For example if there are 26 bits in subnet, then 6 bits will used to address the hosts within subnet. The total possible address combinations from these bits would be 64 but since all zeros and all ones are reserved for Network and Broadcast IDs, only 62 address will remain.
The Wildcard Mask can be used in simple Access Control List (ACL) wildcard mask calculations, through the use of Wildcard Mask Calculator. For calculating simple Access Control List (ACL) wildcard mask the Wildcard Mask Calculator can be used. To calculate classful subnetting the IP Subnet Calculator can be used.
