Transactions Monitoring
If your site is up, everything must be fine, right? Not necessarily!
Online business processes such as shopping carts, forms, internal search engines and logins rely on servers and Web applications. This complexity presents the risk that parts of your site might not function properly. If a failure occurs, your customers can't continue the order process or your users won't be able to use your application. Those customers, visitors and users will go elsewhere, and as a result of that failure you'll lose revenue, goodwill and leads.

Monitis’ Transaction Monitoring (aka as Synthetic monitoring or active monitoring) continually monitors your transactions and alerts you when any of the various steps in a transaction don’t work correctly. Behavioral scripts (or paths) are created to simulate an action or path that a customer or end-user would take on a site. Those paths are then continuously monitored at specified intervals for availability and response time measures. Monitis’ Transaction Monitoring helps you to increase revenue and enhance your reputation for quality and performance online. By simulating real customers, visitors, and users, Monitis’ Transaction Monitoring performs actual checks from within the real browser (IE or Firefox), enabling monitoring from the same perspective as the end-user.
Synthetic monitoring is valuable because it enables a webmaster to identify problems and determine if his website or web application is slow or experiencing downtime before that problem affects actual end-users or customers. This type of monitoring enables companies to test web applications 24x7, or test new applications prior to a live customer-facing launch.

Monitis’ Transaction Monitoring Makes Complex Applications Monitoring Easy
Our technical consultants will set up your transaction monitoring service at no additional cost. Since we offer our Transaction Monitoring software as a service, no system installation is required. Monitis will monitor and ensure the operation of the entire web payment sequence: login, link click-through, the selection of individual or multiple items, and finally payment completion. Should any part of this process fail, Monitis will automatically take a snapshot of what your visitor sees on-screen, and will alert you via your preferred method (mobile phone, email, RSS feed and instant messenger), so that you'll be able to get your transactions online before any user notices a problem. You will be able to define escalation levels to notify different parties of specific alerts at specific times.
Monitis Transaction Monitoring Benefits
Monitis’ Transaction Monitoring has numerous benefits. It provides overall performance and availability figures for the business process. Further, it analyzes each step within the transaction to ensure that it is working properly all the while giving detailed performance metrics and availability statistics for each step. Additionally, it provides analysis and graphical reports to identify bottlenecks in the process and detect common points of failure.
How Transaction Monitoring Works
Our Transaction Monitoring works through a tool that we provide called the Monitis Transaction Recorder. Utilizing your browser, our tool makes it simple to record scenarios and setup parameters for applications that need to be recorded. The Monitis Transactions Recorder is a plug-in for the popular Firefox browser and upon setup will appear in your toolbar. Activating the recording mode will record each step that you take in your browser for later use as well as providing a simple interface to both enhance existing scripts and compose advanced ones. Once you have recorded all of the steps in your application, you can upload the collected actions to the central Monitis server and we can immediately start monitoring your web site application.
